Amy Nell has been practicing law in the Tampa Bay area for over 10 years. She graduated with honors from Stetson University College of Law in 2007 and began working at the Florida Department of Transportation. She worked there for 7 years in the areas of Eminent Domain and Construction Law. Ms. Nell’s experience working for the FDOT in the area of Eminent Domain has given her an understanding of how the State proceeds from start to finish when taking private property to develop roadways and public rights of way.
While at Stetson, Ms. Nell was a member of Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honors Society received the Book Award in International Law. She clerked for a Personal Injury law firm, the FDOT, and the Pinellas County Attorney’s office in Clearwater, FL. She also completed a study abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Before attending Law School, Ms. Nell attended Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts, where she graduated with a B.A. in English Literature, and Wilmington Friends school – a small Quaker high school in Wilmington, Delaware. Ms. Nell is a native Pennsylvanian and still enjoys cheering on her hometown Eagles! In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and law partner, Ben Stechschulte, and their 2 children.
