The Super Lawyers Rising Star recognition is an honor bestowed annually on approximately 2.5% of attorneys in the state who have passed a rigorous and patented review process. To qualify, a lawyer must be no more than 40 years old and have been in practice for 10 years or less. They must be nominated by an attorney for consideration. Extensive research is then conducted, followed by peer review and ultimate determination.
Founded by Ben Stechschulte in 2012, the law firm focuses on criminal defense work for both state and federal charges. Our Tampa Bay legal team has vast experience in litigation, with numerous criminal and civil trials to our credit. Our background resulted in the Rising Star designation.

Ben, a former Hillsborough County Prosecutor, is a well-respected, board-certified criminal defense attorney in the Tampa area. Less than 2% of all Florida criminal defense attorneys have obtain this certification. A native Floridian and graduate of Stetson University College of Law, Ben lives in the Tampa area with his wife-shareholder Amy Nell– and children.
