Our Client was charged with DUI with property damage. We were able to show that he was a military veteran suffering from PTSD as result of his combat service in Iraq and Afghanistan.
We successfully had his case transferred to Veterans Court where he received mental health and substance abuse treatment that was coordinated by our Firm, the Judge, and the VA hospital.
At the end of the case, our Client’s charge was nolle prossed (dismissed). Because his case was dismissed without adjudication, he was able to maintain his employment, keep his house, and maintain custody of his children.
