We had a client who was originally charged with felony battery, and they were looking at a five-year prison sentence. We successfully argued that the witness had credibility issues and that the alleged victim had lied, and we got the prosecutor’s office to reduce the charge to a misdemeanor.
So our client will not be a convicted felon with no jail time.
