Our client was charged with the third DUI outside of 10 years and was looking at up to a YEAR in jail.
We had our client pre-qualified for alternative sentencing before we went in front of the judge and presented an argument that our client’s prior DUIs were a long time ago and the current DUI was a result of a new prescription drug’s adverse effects that they were unaware of.
The judge agreed and the client DID NOT do jail time. We were able to secure an alternative sentence where our client was allowed to do house arrest and keep their job to minimize the driver’s license suspension.
